I am the Owner /Artist of Sona Photography. I have been photographing weddings in the Orlando area since 1998. After several years of working in the corporate world, I felt a strong desire to step away from my career and feed my creative spirit. My love for Photography and family grew almost simultaneously. Sona Photography has over 450 South Asian Weddings in its’ portfolio and many satisfied customers to boot. Sona has won the Wedding Wire Couples Choice Award for the past ten years. Sona has also won the Knot Best of Weddings Award many times. I Lead all my weddings; however, I only take two weddings per month. I believe in quality over quantity. My company is entirely referral based. I strive to capture authentic and candid moments and create memories that last a lifetime and beyond. Traveling and getting to be a part of different cultures and traditions is one of the most life-affirming things I have done for myself. As a woman and mother I can fully appreciate how important our role is to you and your family. It will forever be a time in your life that generations will be able to share in your enjoyment through our images. I will be capturing you and your loved ones at a time when your hearts are filled with joy and anticipation for what lies ahead. After photographing over 500 weddings all around the world, and being published in many major wedding magazines and blogs, Ron has become one of the most trusted wedding photographers anywhere. Adored by couples and leading wedding planners, he delivers gorgeous photos of your wedding from the smallest details to the biggest moments. Ron will document the real story of your wedding day with kindness, skill, and artistic excellence.
Ron brings years of hard work and creativity to every assignment. When Ron is not working with wedding and portrait clients he spends most of his free time traveling the globe documenting the people and places that he visits. He recently finished his 5th project for Photographers without Borders.
Ron’s primary goal is to tell stories with images and to bring out the very best in every detail of each subject he photographs. He studied photography at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. During his education at AIFL he was selected for an internship at The Miami Herald. The internship in photojournalism was an invaluable experience, which helped mold him and his talents into the person he is today.

We are all about the details- from who attended to the small, unique design choices you have made for your day- we will capture it all in a creative and elegant manner. We believe that your wedding images should stand the test of time and offer both photojournalistic qualities during your events and more creative styling during your portrait sessions. Because we shoot digital negatives, we have a lot of flexibility when it comes to the digital development of your images. Depending on your style requests, we can shoot in a way that allows for a “light & airy” natural look or “high drama” with more shadows and color. We will give you most images in either color or black & white, but will also include tones that offer a filmic look when appropriate.
Yes, Sona Photography is a registered LLC in the State of Florida and carries liability insurance in the event an accident occurs on location. We can provide a certificate to your venue upon request.
We use professional Nikon Digital SLRs bodies with multiple off-camera, portable flash units. We will come prepared with backup bodies, flashes, and a variety of lenses. Our lenses are of the utmost quality and range from 14mm to 200mm.
We carry far beyond the necessary image storage to cover an all day event, so we prefer not to limit ourselves to a set number. At minimum, you will have around 100 images per hour of hired photography in a final image collection.
If you have created a wedding hashtag or follow us on Instagram, we may post live, straight from camera images during your event. Then, usually within 10 days of your wedding we provide you with highlights to share via social media with your family and friends. We guarantee you will have all of your images available to you within 90 days of your wedding.
Sona prides itself on offering two Professional Photographers on the day of your event who have or currently own their own photography business. Mona or Stephana will lead your event. Any Second Shooters are scheduled according to availability. If you have a preference, please let us know.
We offer two options:
a. The abridged collection will feature either 500 or 1000 images (depending on the amount of photography coverage) on a USB that will be stored inside a custom display case that includes a small, 5-page book that will showcase your favorite images (just like an album).
b. The full image collection is just that, all of your images (high-res jpegs) on a USB.
