South Asian Wedding Photographer in Florida
South Asian wedding photography across Florida by Mona Chaudhry of Sona Photography: more than 500 weddings over more than 20 years, from Orlando to the coasts.

Sona Photography is the work of Mona Chaudhry, a South Asian wedding photographer based in Orlando, Florida. I have photographed more than 500 weddings over more than twenty years. Most of them have been South Asian celebrations: Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Christian, and fusion.
Florida weddings vary a great deal. A beach wedding at Clearwater, a resort wedding in Orlando, and a three-day celebration at a private estate all need different planning, different timing, and a different read of the light. I have photographed in all of those settings, and I plan each wedding around the place and the family, not around a template.
Where I have photographed
The Florida weddings on this site include the Ritz-Carlton at Amelia Island, the Wyndham Grand at Clearwater Beach, the Hilton at Daytona Beach, the Waldorf Astoria, Gaylord Palms, the Omni at ChampionsGate, and the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, and a private estate in Auburndale. I travel throughout Florida for South Asian weddings.
Traditions and multi-day celebrations
A South Asian wedding usually brings together several days of events and a large number of family members, many of them in specific roles. My experience is practical: I know the sequence of the ceremonies, I know which moments the family will want to see again, and I organize family portraits so they are complete without becoming the longest part of the day.
For fusion weddings, where two faiths and two families are part of one celebration, I photograph both traditions with the same care. Neither family is treated as an addition to the other.

In 2025, I was named to the DWP Insider Powerlist Top 50 Global Wedding Photographers. My weddings have been featured in Maharani Weddings, including in its Destination Weddings issue.
